“We had a wonderful holiday at AfriCamps Wilderness!! The accommodation was everything we expected and more, and the owner and staff were really nice people. The tent is spacious and comfortable, and is well equipped, down to a kitchen scissors 😊 The beds are huge and very comfortable, and the shower big, with good water pressure and permanent hot water! We were fortunate to have one of the higher-up tents so we got lots of sun – when there was sun 😉 We didn’t have great weather on two days but we were quite snug and warm in our tent. It’s a very scenic and quick 10 minute drive down to the N2, so it was easy to pop into Wilderness and Sedgefield to visit and for a meal. After opening their first camp in Oudtshoorn in 2014, AfriCamps has taken the country by storm and guests of all ages can now enjoy an AfriCamps glamping experience in five provinces and 18 unique locations. Each tent offers two bedrooms with luxurious queen-sized beds, an en-suite bathroom with a spacious rain shower, a fully equipped kitchen, an open plan living and dining area, a deck with panoramic views, and excellent braai facilities. Tents are geared with backup electricity for load shedding. 15 of the 18 locations offer guests their own private outdoor wood-fired hot tub on the deck or next to the tent – it’s the ultimate form of comfort and relaxation in the great outdoors.
Each property is uniquely located to offer guests an array of on-site activities, or quick access to the nearby sights and attractions. From leisurely walks on the property to guided tours in the area, this is the best way for the adventurous to experience South Africa.
