Platteland Tours will be hosting again Self-Drive Guided Road Trips to 9 destinations during 2026. No 4×4 is needed – normal sedan cars.  All the regular and popular trips will be repeated plus a 14-day tour to Zimbabwe was added.

Accommodation is in lodges, hotels, guest farms and guest houses – no camping. All breakfasts and certain meals are included.

We travel on tar, gravel, salt and dirt roads, but NO 4×4 is needed.

You travel in your own vehicle in a convoy (safely), behind the tour leader and all vehicles are in contact with one another by means of high quality 2-way radios.
We don’t speed and we enjoy driving, nature, the people on tour and the food en-route.
