 | Any applicant who is married must ensure that supporting documents required for any grant applications are provided for both him/herself and his/her spouse, failure to do this may result in your application being declined. |

 | If your application is not approved by SASSA you must be informed in writing as to why your application was unsuccessful. You then have the right to appeal this decision but the appeal must be done within 90 days of the date of the decision letter |
|
 | SASSA will conduct a means test for you and if you are married for your spouse. The Asset and Income Threshhold may change so its best to check this on a yearly basis |
|
 | All documents submitted must be certified whether submitted in person or online. |
|
 | When contacting SASSA, remember that the Customer Care charter states that you will be given a reference number to enable you to follow up on your enquiry. |
