Topic:   Dementia – what happens to the person behind the diagnosis?

Such a powerful interview!  It was a great privilege to speak to Dr Rayne Stroebel about this uncomfortable, emotional and misunderstood topic.   We learnt so much from Dr Stroebel – how to interact and communicate differently with people living with dementia, and how to respect and understand the person behind the diagnosis.

Comments:

  • Well that certainly made me think! Very powerful, and a great speaker!
  • Wow that was such an interesting discussion this morning. Thank you!
  • Thank you. We really found your chat with Dr Stroebel very informative.
  • Fascinating interview!  I so agree about not “labelling” people as patients.  And the Mrs Cohen breakfast story!!!
  • Excellent discussion!  So many pertinent things said, with the “Mrs Cohen” story and ‘inclusion’ standing out for me!
