50Plus-Skills is a South African community for people aged 50 and over who want to stay connected, keep learning and use their experience. It operates through a virtual office serving South Africa nationally.

Community and work opportunities after 50

The platform connects mature people with businesses, non-profit organisations and other institutions that need skills, time and services. Members can explore full-time and part-time opportunities, mentoring and ways to contribute.

Membership for your next chapter

Individual membership offers monthly talks, webinars, local gatherings and social and professional connections. It suits people approaching retirement or already retired who want fresh networks and support for this stage of life.

Membership costs R500 for 12 months or R50 per month, starting on the day you join.

Learning and retirement support

The Learning Academy offers free online courses through The Startup Tribe in partnership with 50Plus-Skills. Study at your own pace, including courses on starting and running a business.

For employers, 50Plus-Skills provides retirement transition support through its six-month Next Chapter Programme, individual coaching and group workshops. These services help employees prepare for change and support knowledge transfer.
