Posted By Marilynh / November 16, 2020 / 0 Comments

Welcome to You’ve Earned It, the digital media platform for South African 60-plussers.

As this annus horribilis draws to a close,
YEI is very happy to bring you
great new senior offers and fabulous features
specifically geared at the 60-plus market.

Welcome to new YEI members

Welcome to all the new YEI subscribers and Facebook fans!   We would love you to encourage your senior family and friends to join You’ve Earned It.   They are most welcome to sign up for YEI’s FREE fortnightly newsletter here.

While we can see that you are reading the content and taking up the offers, we ask that you engage with the content.  Why?  Your actual engagement demonstrates to YEI advertisers and partners that it is worth supporting You’ve Earned It.  The YEI advertisers and partners are offering great services to the 60-plus community.  Engagement costs nothing, takes a fraction of your time, and makes an enormous difference to the You’ve Earned It senior community, in that advertisers and partners are more inclined to offer seniors great savings, benefits and offer.

We love to get great reviews!  Good for team morale!  Thank you Anthony Bass for your glowing recommendation below!  Much appreciated!

Thank you,
Marilyn, YEI Editor

Information sent to YEI

We thank all YEI members for continually sending information to YEI.  Rodney Everson sent the following:

SANParks free access week begins November 16

The 15th annual South African National Parks (SANParks) Week will begin on November 16 until November 20.

Locals with valid South African identity documents can visit any national park without having to pay an entrance fee at the gate.  Agulhas, Bontebok, Table Mountain, Tankwa Karoo and West Coast National Park will be extending South African National Parks Week until Sunday, 22 November 2020. The only non-participating parks are Boulders Penguin Colony, Table Mountain Aerial Cableway in Table Mountain National Park, and Namaqua National Park.

It is important for South Africans to visit and familiarise themselves with the country’s national parks. They act as spaces to practice sustainable conservation, as spaces that preserve and celebrate our culture and heritage, and we now see national parks playing the critical role of empowering communities living adjacent to parks through job creation and we continue to explore ways of creating business opportunities particularly for small business owners.

Shoprite/Checkers

You have seen that Shoprite now also have the XTRA savings card. Existing Checkers XTRA savings card users can update or register to the Shoprite card.
