Feedback from a YEI member regarding a business listing in the YEI Directory

We encourage your feedback once you have experienced the service of a business listing
in the YEI Directory – it’s great for the business concerned,
and very valuable information for other YEI members.

The following, particularly nice feedback,
was received from Edwina regarding the new Clicks offer:

I’m so glad it’s been changed to every Wednesday, I can never keep track of which day was double points day, and always managed to choose the wrong one. I find the 3 for 2 specials very cost effective, especially at this time of year with my disabled husband, and 10 grandchildren ranging from 21 – 4 years. I can virtually get all I need under one roof. I store my points for the ‘lean’ months, and they really come in tremendously handy. Clicks – well done, thank you for considering us oldies but goodies.

Are you retiring at the end of 2018?

If you are, don’t forget to send us your new email address prior to retiring.   To change your email address, send us a mail with your name, old and new email address, name of suburb, town, province and cell phone number.  Don’t miss out on great pensioner deals and other valuable information that you receive through the YEI newsletter.

Add the YEI email address to your address book

Certain servers my see references about discounts, savings, benefits and great deals as spam.   We recommend that you add info@youve-earned-it.co.za (the YEI email address) to your address book in order to ensure receipt of the YEI free fortnightly newsletter.   In addition, you can write to your server and ask them to whitelist the YEI email address.
This has to come from you – servers will only whitelist a domain if it is requested by one of their customers.

A trip down Memory Lane

Christmas cards

Christmas cards – it seems to be a tradition that is slowly dying, which is very sad.

Do you remember your grandmother, your mother and of course yourself, writing Christmas cards as early as October so that you could meet the overseas deadline for surface mail?  One used to receive dozens of Christmas cards, and these would be strung up all over the lounge or put on the mantelpiece.  But no longer, certainly not in our circles. People either receive electronic Christmas cards.  Some people wait until they get a card from you, before sending one out.

What’s your view?  Should we be standing up for that age-old tradition of good, old-fashioned, handwritten, charity-bought, Christmas cards?  Or not?

Do share your precious memories of your traditional Christmas memories,
including where you used to put your Christmas cards.

Please leave your comments down below on this page …
We look forward to hearing from you all!!

2019 promises to be an exciting year for YEI and its readers.

Watch this space for great content, new developments
and new advertisers displaying their offers
to South African seniors, pensioners, retirees and baby boomers.

More about this next year!

We thank you for your valued support
and look forward to a whopping wonderful 2019.

Until next month…

Kind regards,
Marilyn and the YEI Team

It is a great pity that Christmas cards are/have become a thing of the past, it was great waiting for the postman, as kids,& collecting a pile of cards & opening them, definitely no excitement when one opens a digital one, but at R9.00 something postage, that my cousin paid the other day to send one plus the cost of the card, it is definitely not affordable any more, great pity
