The first You’ve Earned It Retirement Workshop was held on Saturday 29 October 2016 at Belmont Conference Centre in Rondebosch
The workshop/seminar provided delegates with useful information on planning their transition into retirement. Five expert speakers in various fields discussed topics such as financial planning, future trends in the retirement housing industry, rebranding yourself to take an active role in the economy and/or your community, creating your best possible retirement and the habits of effective patients – getting the most out of your doctor visit.
We had exhibitors in the foyer – Napier Retirement Village, CPOA and Evergreen Lifestyle. MultiChoice/DSTV were on hand to give advice, a retirement guide was on sale and we even had a mobile beauty therapist giving 5-minute neck massages! Something for everyone!
Our sponsors were extremely generous with prizes and several delegates were the recipients of fabulous lucky draw prizes. Each delegate was given a goodie bag, filled with valuable information, useful promotional items and even a box of the most delicious Lindt chocolates, courtesy of Napier Retirement Village!
Feedback from some of the delegates:
Good ideas. New ideas. Food for thought. Theme of enjoying of a fulfilling, active and positive retirement came across strongly
You’ve Earned It’s warm welcome made us feel at home. Well planned, good venue, good mix of speakers. Well worth the price and time.
Congratulations to the You’ve Earned It team. I found the conference informative, fun and very worthwhile
The refreshments and sponsors were well organized as was the registration and MC. The Goodie Bag was also a pleasure and all the talks were very topical
