You’ve Earned It (YEI), in partnership with the UCT Liberty Institute of Strategic Marketing is conducting a nationwide survey to better understand the views and experiences of South Africans aged 55 and above.
We’re especially interested to hear your thoughts on how people your age are represented in advertising, your experiences as a consumer, and any changes you’d like to see. By taking part, you’ll stand a chance to win 1 of 3 R1000 cash prizes.
YEI, the trusted platform for South Africans 55+, is joining forces with UCT to amplify your voice and challenge stereotypes in media and marketing. If you’ve ever felt invisible, misunderstood, or unfairly treated because of your age, this is your chance to speak up and help shape how brands connect with your generation. The marketing survey has closed. Results will be made available soon and winners announced directly and in the YEI Newsletter.
Terms and Conditions:
- You are only eligible to enter this competition if you have completed the survey and have signed up to or already receive the FREE YEI newsletter
- Three (3) winners will each receive R1000 in cash paid via EFT to their bank account. No alternative prizes or substitutions will be offered.
- The winners will be selected randomly from all eligible entries.
- The winners will be contacted via email. If the winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner will be selected.
- By entering, the prize winners accept the terms and conditions, and in addition, agree that their names will be shared on our platforms when announcing the winners.
- YEI reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms at any time without prior notice.
- No correspondence will be entered into with entrants of competitions.
- I consent to YEI collecting and storing the data I submit. I also consent to being added to YEI’s free newsletter mailing list, if I am not already signed up.

We’ve observed that organisations in the Western Cape have generally been more receptive to offering pensioner discounts and benefits than those in other provinces. We continue to actively engage with businesses across South Africa to highlight the value of the 55+ market and the opportunities it presents. It is our hope that more organisations in other regions will come on board in the near future, as awareness grows and the benefits of supporting this vibrant and loyal community become more widely recognised. At YEI, we remain committed to advocating for our members and building partnerships that bring value to all involved.
