What is the possibility to get a permanent discount for pensioners? Most pensioners need to downgrade or cancal DSTV subscription when on pension. The selection is structured that you can not have channel 144(Kyknet) and channel 201( Sport) at the same time. I have contacted DSTV but they do not want to speak to me.

      Hi Andries

DStv has responded as follows: The sole factor at play in offering a discount is that a decoder is portable, this means that it could be used by someone other than the pensioner. Please refer to the response provided by MultiChoice regarding a pensioner’s discount.

      Kind regards

Multi Choice cannot even deliver on their so-called holiday package so I doubt this very much. We were on holiday at Scottburgh for a month and

had endless problems trying to stay connected. Our mobile calls alone to DSTV cost us up toR500.

We would also like to choose 5 channels of our choice and pay less however this will never happen, as they force us to pay an exorbitant price which continually

keeps escallating. As pensioners we are forced to change to Netflix

Completed form on 21/08 and still no response from DSTV – maybe the only way is to cancel my premium subscription !

      Hi Lois
There has been a delay on the DStv side – they are busy contacting people as we speak, so I have been told.

Best advice is to apply via the form on this page, and then let a consultant phone and give you the correct advice.

A Discount for Pensioners Premium TV every month would be Amazing. After all, PLENTY of us are not able to get out and about like the younger generation. Never mind not being able to drive any more because of poor eye sight. So we HAVE TO spend more time at home. What an Excellent advert for our children to be told what we saw on DSTV today. Instead of Increases, Let’s look at Decreases. Stuck in a small home is not for sissies, so PLEASE give us something to look forward to.

I never go anywhere, so a pensioner discount for me would not be abused. Especially as I have been a customer for 27 years!! That must count for something! Thank you. Regards. Anna Rand
