In a recent survey by Oggi and the Quadrant Retirement Place, Physio we found that the major reason for residents not participating in their Aqua classes was that over the years their swimwear had worn out and they had not replaced them:
Because they hated trying on swimwear!
So if this is you, please don’t give up on the huge benefits of swimming and aqua classes, they are one of the best forms of physical exercise for us as we age as they place so little stress on our bodies and offer a host of benefits.

How? Firstly, we have a range of swimwear developed with the more mature figure in mind, secondly Oggi have different styles to suit both your taste, your figure and your budget. So, if you love flamboyant flowers in wild Tropicals or simple black top & shorts, then we have you covered. Last but by no means least, we have very personal hands-on service to not only assist you in the changeroom if needed but also fetching different sizes and styles, so you can just relax and fit without having to get dressed repeatedly to go and find a size up. We have no limit to the number of garments you can take to fit on.
Our best recommendation for coming in to fit, is to wear a loose a fitting dress, good panties (as you will have to try on over these) and bring your slippers or slops and a dressing gown. We have a large fit room with both a fan and a heater so we can make you comfortable.
Not only do most of our clients walk out with a practical costume for their needs they walk out feeling comfortable, knowing they look good and can wear their costume out in public without being embarrased. It is my great pleasure to give this confidence back to you. By popular demand we will also be launching our men’s swim shorts this week.

Oggi is based in Cape Town and has been making swimwear since 1998. We support locally based wholesalers and use SA products as much as we can without sacrificing the quality of our swim and gym wear.
We believe in paying our staff well and giving them the time they need with family so we are not open Sundays and public holidays and close at one on Saturdays. We open 9 to 5 weekly in Harfield Village Cape Town and we have an on line shop for 24/7 shopping.
Oggi support several charities where we donate not only our swimwear but good 2nd hand items so if you or your families are throwing out (especially the grandchildren) good swimwear we would be happy to have it.
We also support a number of greening and environmental projects and the owner Gail is one of the founding members of Treekeepers Cape Town. Gail is 61 and hikes our mountains regularly and loves swimming in our many Tidal pools. After a knee replacement 2 years ago she found a new lease on life, in part due to all the exercise that was part of the rehabilitation and she is keen to spread the joy.
