DROP – Dementia Reach Out Project

Dementia reach out program

NPO / NPC Registration # 2018 326226 08

Trained in a unique and specialised method of dementia management, we are a small non-profit start up organisation, with family members heavily impacted by dementia, intent on making significant and meaningful change to the well-being of people living with dementia and alzheimers through awareness education workshops, coaching and training, advisory support services, plus various projects and initiatives.

Dementia

People with dementia and alzheimers are fearful, anxious, confused, demanding, repetitive, petrified of abandonment and so on.
They need specialised dementia aware and informed engagement, stimulation, empathy, love, care, steering and management.

They also desperately need respite … and equally … so do their spouses, families, caregivers and friends.

WHO statistics suggest there is 1 new dementia (and alzheimers) diagnosis every 3 seconds, that’s 1200 new cases every hour.

Unfortunately with dementia being so heavily stigmatised and sadly, affected families, communities and organisations often wanting to completely avoid facing it head on, there is a huge amount of education, training, support and effort needed to break down these barriers, improve well-being and offer meaningful respite.

DROP’s bouquet of services and projects, which can only be achieved through your generous support, include training, education, advisory and respite initiatives.
