50 Plus-Skills is an online skills community that provides a platform for individuals, aged fifty plus, to connect with and provide their skills, time and services to business, civil society, academic institutions, NPOs and government.

What we offer
50 Plus-Skills hopes to educate, connect, encourage and inspire individuals over 50 to look at their next season as one of legacy and to live life to the full. Working longer for money, personal meaning or both is a possibility, but needs out of the box thinking and a system of connections and shared value to enable the process. We want to engage individuals close to retirement to be empowered through workshops and coaching to discover what and how they would like to engage in this next season.
At 50Plus-Skills, we have made the decision to have a paid platform for individuals. The cost is R500 per annum. Many are reluctant to invest this in themselves. Included in this cost is a half-day life planning workshop to help you build the framework for your next season, to challenge your thinking, to open your mind to new opportunities, to see the next season as a sunrise not a sunset. There will be some great opportunities for work for some, but it is better to see this as a supportive community where you can be found and where you can safely look for what you need. A place to volunteer and make a difference with like-minded people. To make friends. To learn through the weekly communication and courses that will be on offer.
